The website for this organiziation is very helpful in searching for a priviate practice psychotherapist. Most of our local therapists are part of this organization. The website allows you to search by location, health insurance, presenting problem, etc.
Humboldt Family Service Center (HFSC)
HFSC, located in both Eureka and Arcata, offers sliding fee based counseling for individuals, couples, children, and families.
Open Door Community Health Centers
Locations throughout the county. Both the Eureka and Arcata offices of Open Door have a licensed clinical social worker on staff and provide behavioral health counseling.

To find a local therapist, go to North Coast Association of Mental Health Professionals and search for therapists specializing in eating disorders.

Queer Student Union
An Humboldt student club that provides the queer commuinty a safe place to talk, play games, plan events, meet new friends, gain support, etc. Meets Thursdays at 7 pm in the Vine Deloria Room, MCC.
