Healthcare Programs
Our hands-on programs centered around community partnerships prepare students for dynamic careers in healthcare.
Health & Medical Science, B.S.
The Bachelor of Science in Health & Medical Science offers a dynamic foundation in the biological, social, and behavioral sciences, preparing students for healthcare careers or advanced study in fields like medicine, pharmacy, and physical therapy.
Community Health, B.A.
The B.A. in Community Health empowers you to make a real difference, equipping you with the tools to tackle health challenges through a lens of justice and equity.
Kinesiology, B.S.
The Kinesiology, B.S. (Pre-Health Professions concentration) provides an academic foundation for students pursuing advanced degrees in physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant programs, nursing, medical school, or prosthetics and orthotics.
Nursing, B.S.
The Nursing B.S. program offers a RN-BSN concentration, with a part-time model designed for working registered nurses. It also offers concurrent enrollment with College of the Redwoods for students who want to complete their BSN while completing a Registered Nursing program for licensure.
Social Work, B.A. & M.S.W.
Our undergraduate and graduate level Social Work programs are practice-focused, and prioritize rural and Indigenous communities. Distributed and online options allow for easy access for working students.
Psychology, B.A & M.A
Our three unique Psychology undergraduate and graduate programs prepare students for mental/behavioral health and school-based practice grounded in practical hands-on experience.
Child Development & Family Relationships, B.A.
This B.A. program prepares students to support the development and wellbeing of children and their families. Taking inclusive, multigenerational, relational, and lifespan approaches, students incorporate multilogical thinking and trauma informed care/practices in their work.
Non-Major Option
Pre-Health Pathways
Several of Humboldt’s undergraduate programs in the biological and physical sciences prepare students to meet admissions requirements for health science professional schools.
