Faculty Research Labs

Research Participation Pool

Students enrolled in our Introductory Psychology course learn about research by participating in research studies. Research participation provides students an important first-hand view of psychological science. After completing basic courses in Psychology, many students collaborate on faculty research as research assistants.

Student experiential learning is a fundamental educational goal for the Psychology Department.

Students can engage in experiential learning by

  • Serving as a participant in a research study.  Click here to enroll.
  • Assisting faculty with active research projects and labs.  Click on the individual Research Labs below for information on how to join.
  • Presenting and publishing research.  Each year, 20-40 of our students attend professional conferences where they present their work.
  • Electing to take Senior Honors Thesis (PSYC 490), where you will design and carry out your own research project.
