LEAP provides programming for local youth to explore outdoor recreation oppportunities and to practice leadership skills. Engaging with youth (6th-8th grades) at Peninsula Union School in Samoa.

L.E.A.P. Mission

LEAP provides no-cost opportunities for children/youth in the local community in order to build trust, self-esteem, leadership, and teamwork skills. LEAP gives volunteers a chance to practice leadership skills and share their love of the outdoors with the community.

Service, Goals & Projects

Volunteers facilitate team building and cooperative games to build teamwork and confidence, as well as teaching youth about outdoor recreation opportunities and skills. One-time outdoor recreation field trips are provided in collaboration with school and community sites: kayaking with Center Activities; hiking; and outdoor recreation themed games and activities.
