Program Mission

Youth Mentoring Program (YMP) strives to connect Cal Poly Humboldt student mentors with local elementary and middle school students who need extra support. YMP offers mentoring during small group activities during after school programs and may offer one-on-one mentoring at the request of specific school sites. By establishing strong, consistent, and constructive relationships YMP volunteers become positive role models, allies, and agents of change in our community.

Community Contacts

YMP has been working with several schools to identify children seeking mentors, including Arcata Elementary, Pacific Union Elementary, and Sunny Brae Middle School.
