Looking for a more personalized lesson or have a trip idea that isn’t currently listed? We offer private programs and custom trips across many of our activities. Personalized trips can be tailored based on group size, location, duration, food needs, and program goals.
We encourage you to explore our listed programs for inspiration—you may request a new date for an existing offering or propose a customized experience.
How to reserve a trip
To get started, please complete a Private Trip Request Form. Our staff will review your request and follow up to discuss options, availability, and next steps. You may also contact our front counter if you have questions or would like assistance determining the best option for you or your group.
Program Options
Our experienced instructors will teach you everything you need to sail our Coronado 15 boats in a fun and safe environment. Sailors will learn rigging, terminology, maneuvering, safety, and much, much more. Instruction can be tailored to any skill level.
Looking to develop your kayaking skills in a close, independent course? Our friendly and professional instructors can tailor instruction to meet your specific goals, and introduce you to new techniques. In addition, instruction prepares you to become a safer, more knowledgeable paddler, and go out on your own expeditions. This is also a great way to discover local paddling areas.
You will learn water safety, surf etiquette, ocean awareness, surfboard handling, technique, how to read the waves and much more. These custom courses are designed for all skill levels, instructors will customize your lesson to you.
Looking to set up a private Stand Up Paddleboard or Kayak trip for you and your friends and family? We have trips off the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center’s dock or in varies locations such as the Humboldt Lagoons and the lower Mad River. Prices vary depending on group size, location and trip duration.
Looking to set up a rafting trip for you and your friends? Gather 10-18 people and give us a call. We will provide the equipment the guides and the transportation. You pick the date and bring the lunch. Let us help you set up a rafting adventure of a lifetime.
Want to know all the local Humboldt spots? Looking for a guide to the Humboldt forest or a guided beach tour? Let our professional guides walk you through the area of your choosing and impart their knowledge for the area’s natural and human history.
Special Events
Each semester Outdoor Adventures organizes a variety of special programs in collaboration with our affiliated facilities and other local organizations.
These programs include rock climbing competitions, extensive multi-day outdoor adventures, our annual Paddlefest celebrating safe boating on the North Coast and much more! Stay tuned for updates on your favorite events and new additions!
