Arts, Culture, and Tourism

Where Culture, Creativity & Community Drive Economic Growth

Welcome to the Arts, Culture, and Tourism (ACT) Sector Hub of Redwood Region RISE — where economic development celebrates culture and strengthens a sense of place. With its natural beauty, artistic vitality, and cultural heritage, the Redwood Region is building a regenerative model that uplifts communities, honors the environment, and ensures this inspiring destination thrives for generations to come.

Our Arts, Culture & Tourism Strategies

Coordination of the Arts, Culture, and Tourism sector through regular meetings, reporting, and structured planning, bringing partners together to guide priorities, implement catalyst projects, and produce a regional development roadmap aligned with state initiatives.

Providing ongoing technical assistance and building a mutual aid system to support projects across the sector, emphasizing resource sharing, long-term sustainability, and hands-on support to ensure projects can be successfully developed and maintained.

Creation of a cohesive, inclusive regional identity for arts, culture, and tourism involving collaboration among partners to align branding strategies, incorporate Tribal perspectives, and strengthen the region’s tourism positioning.

Increasing visibility, funding, and policy support for the sector including developing advocacy tools, engaging in legislative efforts, and building systems that improve the sector’s ability to attract and absorb investment.

Expanding connections beyond the region by engaging in statewide collaborations and events, focusing on knowledge sharing, partnership building, and elevating the region’s presence within California’s broader creative and tourism economy.
