I’m so happy you’re here! Working with students is what first brought me to the field of psychology, and I feel privileged to support you as you navigate the transitions, relationships, and challenges that come with this season of life. My approach is collaborative and grounded in curiosity, compassion, and respect for your unique story, and I am here to help you find your way through systems that can sometimes feel impersonal or difficult to access.
I moved to Humboldt from San Diego after a backpacking trip to Redwood Creek in the Fall of 2024, which inspired me to make Humboldt my home. Outside of work, I am an avid hiker, backpacker and reader (I'm the proud owner of a home library with more than 1,000 books!)
Favorite professional and self-help books: The Happiness Hypothesis: Finding Modern Truth in Ancient Wisdom, Jonathan Haidt; The Body Keeps the Score, Van Der Kolk, M.D.; How We Love, Milan & Kay Yerkovich; No Bad Parts, Richard Schwartz, PhD; Why We Sleep, Matthew Walker, PhD
Areas of Interest
I truly enjoy supporting individuals experiencing anxiety and depression, navigating LGBTQ+ identity development, and working through relationship concerns. I am also interested in decolonizing approaches to therapy and exploring how culture, identity, and larger systems shape our experiences and well-being. I also have a special interest in working with student-athletes, drawing on my own lifelong experience as an athlete and an understanding of the unique pressures that can come with balancing academics, athletics, relationships, and personal individuality.
