Anatomage Digital Dissection Table

The Anatomage Table, located in the Hall of Simulation on the second floor of the Cal Poly Humboldt Library, is an advanced interactive 3D anatomy and digital dissection platform. Cal Poly Humboldt Library stands out as the only library in California to offer this cutting-edge technology. The table provides students, faculty, staff, and community members with a clean, hands-on environment to study anatomy across multiple academic disciplines without the challenges or constraints of traditional physical cadavers.

The core feature of the Anatomage Table is its expansive digital Case Library, which includes full 3D models of five human cadavers and 120 animals. Users can interact directly with the touchscreen to perform digital dissections, load specific models, and practice complex prosection techniques. The system allows learners to examine fully rendered, layered anatomical structures, manipulate the views, and isolate individual body parts to better map out spatial relationships within various mammalian and human body systems.

Beyond basic visualization, the system acts as a complete multi-tool for simulated medical and physiological learning. It can display individual bodily systems, label key components, and even replicate intricate procedural operations and tissue motions. To help users navigate this powerful technology, the library offers specialized SkillShops, workshops, and student-docent-led demonstrations, making the platform a modern hub for interactive learning and cross-species anatomical comparison.
