Library Scholar Internship
About Library Scholar Internships
The Library Scholar Internship offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working on meaningful projects that support the Library and campus community. Interns collaborate with Library faculty and staff on a variety of initiatives, developing skills in research, communication, digital tools, project management, and creative problem-solving. Through mentorship and real-world experience, students strengthen their professional skills, explore new technologies, and build a portfolio of work that prepares them for future careers or graduate study.
Intern Reflections
“The Library’s Archives and Special Collections offered me new skills I never would have thought to gain. For one, I learned how to process old newspapers, maps, photo negatives, and glass plate negatives…in the end I found myself with more respect for archivists…”
- Cello Wicklin, Library Scholar Intern, Spring 2023
