RRRISE In-Person Collaborative Convening
Friday August 21, 2026 @ Bear River Tish-Non Community Center, near Loleta
Charting What's Next for the Redwood Region
On August 21st, Redwood Region RISE brought together Tribal leaders, nonprofits, business owners, elected officials, resource partners, and community members from across Tribal Lands and Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, and Mendocino counties for a day of celebration, connection, and direction-setting for the region.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. Together we took stock of what the Collaborative has built, reconnected as a region, and had real conversations about where we go from here.
Who Was in the Room
RRRISE-funded project leads, community members and Tribal partners, local elected officials, resource partners, and state agency representatives — anyone invested in what regional economic development looks like in our region.
The Day's Purpose
Attendees...
- heard directly from RRRISE-funded and aligned projects and key sector leaders on progress and the path forward
- strengthened relationships through networking with fellow regional leaders and partners
- received information about — and helped shape — what's next for RRRISE
What We Covered
The day opened with a Project Showcase & Networking session, giving RRRISE-funded and aligned projects a chance to share progress with the room. From there, breakout and panel sessions dug into five focus areas:
- Strengthening a Sense of Place: Arts, Culture & Tourism
- Health & Caregiving: Successes and Future Ambitions
- Powering a Transition: Renewable & Resilient Energy
- Cultivating Regeneration: Working Lands & Blue Economy
- What's Next for RRRISE: Assets, Sustainability, and Future Planning
The day also included a live Regional Pulse Check using Mentimeter, giving attendees a chance to weigh in in real time on priorities for the region going forward.
