Airport Day (April 26, 2025)

The Aviation Club just ran the free community event Airport Day on 4/26/2025 at Samoa Field. It was not the best weather, but we think about 800 people came out to the Samoa airfield. As soon as school starts in the fall we will be inviting the Coast Guard to land a helicopter on campus, inviting a local certified flight instructor (CFI) to give a talk about learning how to fly, and talking with a person who works in the control tower about their job helping pilots.
