Kumi Nakadate

Kumiye “Kumi” Nakadate is a fifth-generation Japanese American from San Pedro, California. She graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt in Spring 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art and a minor in Computer Science, completing her degree in just three years after earning two associate degrees in high school. She joined Sponsored Programs in May 2025 and enjoys bringing both creativity and problem-solving skills to her work. Outside of the office, she loves cooking and gardening.
