Joseph (Joe) Taylor He/Him/His

I am a Graduate Student in the Environment and Communities Master's program at Cal Poly Humboldt, where I also graduated with my BA in Native American Studies. I am originally from Lomita, California where I had a wide experience in different school settings. I attended Roman Catholic school from K-8th grade, then I went to a pilot public school for high school. I moved up to Humboldt in 2021 to attend school as a student and worked in multiple campus jobs until late 2024, where I got a job offer at the Rou Dalagurr: Food Sovereignty Lab & Traditional Ecological Knowledges Institute. I accepted the job, and have been working here since and doing some amazing work with the community in various ways. As I continue my education in the E&C Program, I hope to continue supporting the resilience of Native culture and the strength of food systems.
