Food Futures Vol. 1 Magazine

The Rou Dalagurr Food Futures Magazine originated as a space to elevate and forefront the important work being done in Indigenous communities, with Indigenous voices at the center, around food sovereignty, food security,
Traditional Ecological Knowledges, and Indigenous Sciences. We look to annually publish this magazine.
In our first edition, we highlight salmon, acorns, and kelp, as well as their interrelated communities and landscape care. Interspersed in these pages are also stories of Indigenous migrant food sovereignty and resilience, and community-based initiatives in this North Coast California region. This work is only possible due to the continued interest and support of our community in the work of the Rou Dalagurr Food Sovereignty Lab and Traditional Ecological Knowledges Institute.

Food Futures Vol. 2 Magazine

The Rou Dalagurr Food Futures Magazine originated as a space to elevate and forefront the important work being done in Indigenous communities, with Indigenous voices at the center, around food sovereignty, food security, Traditional Ecological Knowledges, and Indigenous Sciences. The Native American Studies Rou Dalagurr Food Sovereignty Lab & Traditional Ecological Knowledges Institute looks to annually publish this magazine. In our second issue we continue to foreground Indigenous voices with a special focus on: youth voices and also highlighting the research of graduate students working at the intersection of Indigenous studies and decolonial futures. Our work continues to center how community voices are integral to how we build decolonial futures. We continue to prioritize open and free access to this publication and hope that you enjoy the work. Publication and printing of this issue has been made possible because of support from the Elevate Youth Grant California: Sierra Health Foundation, the Cowell Foundation and the Native Women’s Collective.
