Isabella “Bug” Carvajal

Isabella “Bug” Carvajal is a fourth-year undergraduate student working under the Food Sovereignty Lab Specialty Crop Initiative Program, currently pursuing her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with two minors in Sustainable Food Systems and Native American Studies. Being born and raised in the suburbs of Stockton, CA she was able to spend much of her life near the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta which continues to be a driving motivation for her studies. As the youngest daughter of two Chilean immigrants, she’s dedicated to leading with respect and practicing humility in hopes of understanding the roles she must take in this fight for decolonization.
