New Hire

CHRS Recruitment (PageUp)

  • Regular Staff (Permanent Staff/MPP)
    Ongoing, full/part-time positions
  • Temporary Staff
    Fixed duration appointments. Reappoinmtent is done via the form 104.  At 4 years the temporary appointment becomes permanent.
  • Intermittent Hourly
    As-needed, no set schedule, paid hourly
  • Emergency Hire
    Short-term gap filling
  • Interim MPP
    New Employee or Break in Service

  • Casual Worker
    Performs temporary or short-term assignments not covered by existing CSU classifications. Often used for one-time or irregular support duties
  • Hourly Special Consultant (non-exempt)
    Temporary specialized work, requires timesheet
  • Rehired Annuitant
    Retired CalPERS employees, 960-hour limit
  • Temporary Staff Reappointment
  • 10/12 11/12 working in month off
    Must be a 12 month appointment
